The Matrix, part 1 of 2

Stills from the The Matrix (1999) DVD.

I first saw the Matrix on video by the time I was in 8th grade.  I remember being fascinated by the "bullet time" effects sequences that used rigs of precisely timed still cameras, motion cameras, and laser-guided mapping.  The Matrix was the first and only VHS I ever owned that had special features at the end of the tape.  It would be less than two years later, in 2002, when I would buy my first SLR camera.
